Senior Historical Researcher

Job Purpose
Plan and execute specialized historical research and field studies related to heritage buildings in Dubai, ensuring accurate documentation, analysis, and preservation of historical, cultural, and social information.
Key Responsibilities
- Define research frameworks, methodologies, and data collection approaches for historical and heritage studies.
- Identify and coordinate with data sources (government entities, museums, libraries) to obtain references and archival materials.
- Conduct field surveys and on-site historical assessments of heritage buildings across Dubai.
- Perform interviews with local residents and elderly community members to capture historical, cultural, and social insights.
- Collect, organize, analyze, and document data using scientific research methodologies.
- Prepare research reports and studies, including findings, conclusions, and recommendations, and submit them to management.
- Maintain and archive research documentation, including records, audio files, written materials, and photographs for future reference.
- Develop and contribute to cultural programs, publications, and awareness materials related to heritage sites.
- Prepare periodic progress reports, highlighting challenges and proposing solutions.
- Execute tasks in compliance with information security and confidentiality policies.
- Perform any other duties aligned with the nature of the role as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
- Develop and implement research plans and programs for heritage buildings.
- Ensure proper documentation and accessibility of research archives.
- Support public awareness initiatives about the importance of historical sites.

- Bachelor’s Degree in History
- Experience:
- UAE Nationals: 4–6 years
