Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer (Static) to join our client in Abu Dhabi for a direct hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly on ADNOC projects, with strong technical expertise in the design, engineering, installation, inspection, and maintenance of static equipment. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with ADNOC specifications, international engineering standards, and project quality and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, review, and execute engineering activities related to static equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, columns, separators, filters, and piping supports.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, equipment datasheets, material requisitions, technical specifications, and vendor documentation.
• Ensure engineering deliverables comply with ADNOC standards, ASME, API, ASTM, TEMA, and other applicable international codes.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, procurement, construction, inspection, and commissioning teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review vendor drawings and technical submittals, providing timely comments and approvals.
• Support equipment selection, technical bid evaluations, and vendor clarification meetings.
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, design reviews, constructability reviews, and risk assessments.
• Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and project handover.
• Resolve technical issues encountered during engineering and construction phases.
• Ensure project deliverables are completed within schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
• Maintain compliance with ADNOC HSE policies and project safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Mechanical Static Engineering within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proven experience working on ADNOC EPC projects is mandatory.
• Experience with reputable EPC contractors such as Galfar Engineering, Petrofac, Robt. Stone (Robstone), Descon Engineering, or similar organizations is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of static equipment engineering, fabrication, inspection, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards including ASME, API, ASTM, TEMA, and relevant ADNOC engineering standards.
• Experience reviewing vendor documents, technical specifications, and engineering calculations.
• Proficiency in engineering software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary project environment.

Preferred Skills

• Strong understanding of EPC project execution and engineering workflows.
• Experience in brownfield and greenfield oil & gas projects.
• Knowledge of QA/QC requirements and inspection procedures for static equipment.
• Familiarity with HAZOP, HAZID, and risk assessment processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
