About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Architect Engineer to join our client's growing team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural design consultancy, extensive experience delivering government sector projects in the UAE, and a thorough understanding of local authority regulations and approval processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing architectural designs, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, obtaining authority approvals, and ensuring projects are delivered in compliance with client requirements, UAE regulations, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts, detailed designs, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Prepare design presentations, working drawings, specifications, and construction details.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and interior design teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Manage and oversee architectural design from concept through construction.
• Liaise with government authorities to secure design approvals and permits.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, municipality regulations, and project specifications.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and architectural documentation.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to approved designs.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical support during construction and resolve architectural design issues.
• Ensure projects are delivered within established timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of UAE experience as an Architect Engineer.
• Previous experience working with a Design Consultancy is mandatory.
• Proven experience handling government sector projects within the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, architectural standards, and authority approval procedures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent design, planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Mandatory Requirements

• Registered Engineer with a valid engineering license/registration from:
• Abu Dhabi Municipality
• Al Ain Municipality
• Al Dhafra (Western Region) Municipality
• Arabic national preferred.
• Currently based in the UAE is preferred.
