Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly competent and experienced Electrical Engineer to join a leading organization in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing detailed electrical engineering activities for major Oil & Gas EPC projects, ensuring that all engineering deliverables comply with project specifications, applicable international standards, and client requirements.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in detailed engineering for Oil & Gas facilities, with mandatory ADNOC project experience and ADNOC approval. The role requires strong technical expertise in the design and engineering of electrical systems throughout various phases of EPC projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed electrical engineering and design activities for Oil & Gas EPC projects in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Prepare, review, and verify electrical engineering deliverables, including calculations, specifications, data sheets, schedules, and design reports.
- Develop and review single line diagrams (SLDs), load lists, load flow studies, cable sizing calculations, cable schedules, and voltage drop calculations.
- Prepare and review equipment specifications and requisitions for electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), UPS systems, batteries, generators, and lighting systems.
- Coordinate with procurement teams during technical bid evaluations and vendor document reviews.
- Review and approve vendor drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications and client requirements.
- Interface and coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including Mechanical, Instrumentation, Civil, Structural, and Process disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, international codes, and relevant statutory requirements throughout the engineering process.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, constructability reviews, and technical meetings with clients and stakeholders.
- Provide engineering support during procurement, construction, commissioning, and project close-out phases.
- Resolve technical queries and engineering issues arising during project execution.
- Ensure all deliverables are completed within project schedules and quality requirements.
Skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Professional registration or relevant engineering certifications will be considered an advantage.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Electrical Engineering within the Oil & Gas and EPC industry.
- Extensive experience in detailed engineering for onshore and/or offshore Oil & Gas projects.
- Mandatory ADNOC project experience and valid ADNOC approval as an Electrical Engineer.
- Proven track record of delivering electrical engineering design for large-scale EPC projects.
- Experience working on greenfield and brownfield developments is highly desirable.
Technical Competencies
- Strong knowledge of power generation and distribution systems within Oil & Gas facilities.

- Earthing and Lightning Protection Systems
- Hazardous Area Classification requirements

- Cable Routing and Sizing Calculations
- Short Circuit, Load Flow, and Voltage Drop Studies
- Familiarity with international standards and codes, including IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and ADNOC specifications.
- Experience using electrical engineering software such as ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

- Experience supporting procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.

- Lead Electrical Engineer / Engineering Manager / Project Engineering Manager (as applicable).
