Head of Trends & Innovation

As Head of Trends & Innovation, you will –

+ Report to the Director leading the Research & Cognitive Solutions division

+ Be supported by a Trends & Innovation Specialist

+ Be part of the Research & Cognitive Solutions division, along with three other Section Heads(Data Science, Research & Cognitive Solutions, Global Knowledge Transfer)

+ Find innovative solutions to support the implementation of Company Strategy and establish a platform to link Company projects to entrepreneurship and innovation centers

+ Be based in Abu Dhabi

+ You will develop the Company Trends & Innovation Planning strategy, incorporating the latest trends, technology and research in the Company sector. You will develop an Innovation Planning framework to identify the most effective Company approach in Abu Dhabi. You will conduct a thorough review of Company innovation trends and identify their respective successes and failures. You will supervise the preparation of monthly reports covering the latest trends and innovations that impact Company

+ You will engage with the Company-related startup ecosystem in Abu Dhabi. You will interact with Company-related innovation centers, startups, and founders. You will act as a link between stakeholders looking for growth acceleration experts and entrepreneurs. You will represent the Company in innovation and entrepreneurship forums and centers. You will develop quarterly publications on funding opportunities and disseminate them to investors and entrepreneurs working with the Company

+ You will advise internal teams on incorporating innovation into program delivery. You will disseminate monthly innovation reports to all Company members. You will hold meetings with internal stakeholders responsible for project implementation to provide them with information / trends related to the sector and help them generate / brainstorm with ideas for projects.

+ Deliver high-quality outcomes. You are comfortable working under pressure, with deadlines and you pay strong attention to detail. You have solid problem-solving and analytical skills. You have a true passion for results, effectively driving teams towards your mutual goals.

+ Engage various stakeholders. You build constructive relationships and networks with a diverse set of stakeholders (such as startups, Government entities, innovation practice providers etc.), leveraging your strong communication and networking skills.

+ Understand the local startup ecosystem in the UAE. You are familiar with global ECD-related startups, as well as innovation trends. You are eager to build strong connections within that startup ecosystem

We value past experience in the following –

+ Working in an entrepreneurship or innovation-based role

+ Leading international innovation teams to disrupt a status quo

We are looking for the following educational qualifications (preferred) –

+ Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Management, Innovation or equivalent

+ Fluency in English (written and spoken)
