Job Title: HR Officer 
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Contract Type: 3-Month Renewable Contract (Subject to Extension)

Our client is a leading government-owned organization in the UAE, established under the ownership of the UAE Ministry of Defense. The organization is dedicated to creating value and serving the strategic interests of the UAE through its diverse portfolio of subsidiaries and business operations.

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HR Officer to support the Human Resources function with a primary focus on payroll administration and employee records management. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of payroll experience, preferably within a large organization, and possess strong knowledge of payroll processes, HR operations, and UAE labor regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, process, and verify monthly payroll accurately and within established timelines.
  • Maintain payroll records, employee data, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate with Finance and other departments to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
  • Process employee salary adjustments, allowances, deductions, overtime, leave payments, and end-of-service benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws, company policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Manage employee attendance, leave records, and timesheets for payroll purposes.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including employment documentation and final settlements.
  • Generate payroll reports, HR metrics, and management reports as required.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and HR-related matters.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information and payroll data.
  • Assist with HR administration, personnel files, visa documentation, and other HR operational activities.
  • Support audits and provide payroll-related documentation when required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within HR and payroll processes.

Skills

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll administration and HR operations.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, compensation, benefits, and employee records management.
  • Knowledge of UAE Labor Law and HR best practices.
  • Experience using HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working within government, semi-government, defense, or large corporate organizations.
  • Familiarity with UAE payroll compliance requirements and WPS processes.
  • Experience handling high-volume payroll and employee administration activities.

Employment Details

  • Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
  • Contract Duration: 3 Months (Renewable, subject to business requirements and performance)
  • Start Date: Immediate availability preferred
