JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES |
|
|
Conduct inspections and audits of facilities, storage, and transport to verify dangerous goods compliance with labeling, packaging, and storage requirements. |
|
|
Review permits, licenses, safety data sheets, inventories, and transport documents for compliance with UN Model Regulations, QCC guidelines, ADOSH-SF, and ECAS-Ex. |
|
|
Assess dangerous goods risks and maintain mapping of dangerous goods locations, quantities, compatibility, and associated hazardous zones across the site. |
|
|
Identify and record non-conformities and unsafe conditions, issuing findings, warnings, or corrective actions with clear deadlines for compliance resolution. |
|
|
Follow up on corrective action closure to verify implementation effectiveness and ensure all identified dangerous goods or explosive atmosphere issues are resolved. |
|
|
Support incident investigations involving dangerous goods or explosive atmospheres, including root cause analysis, reporting, and preventive measures to avoid recurrence. |
|
|
Assess hazardous areas for explosive atmospheres, verify HAC reports and zone maps, and confirm equipment aligns with ECAS-Ex, IECEx/ATEX, and IEC 60079 standards. |
|
|
Conduct awareness sessions and provide guidance on dangerous goods compliance and explosive atmosphere safety while maintaining accurate inspection reports and compliance records. |

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS |
|
|
Academic & Professional Qualification: · Diploma in HSE, industrial safety, chemistry, logistics, or related discipline. · Professional experience in dangerous goods, hazardous materials, or industrial safety inspection · Knowledge of dangerous goods regulations, classification, labeling, storage, transport, including UN Model Regulations. · Familiarity with UAE hazardous materials guidelines (QCC, ADOSH-SF) and transport of hazardous materials. · Familiarity with ECAS-Ex, hazardous area classification, IECEx/ATEX, and IEC 60079 standards for explosive atmospheres. · Familiarity with risk assessment, incident reporting, and corrective action management. · Strong report writing, communication, and enforcement skills. · Understanding of hazardous area zone classifications (Zones 0/1/2, 20/21/22) and equipment categories. |

Related Experience · About 4 years of related experience in oil and gas, explosives, chemical or Food & Drug industry industrial plants · Experience with HSE computer-based applications, is an advantage. |
