Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to join our team in Abu Dhabi for ongoing and upcoming ADNOC projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) activities, ensuring compliance with ADNOC requirements, UAE regulations, and international HSE standards. The role requires a strong leader with extensive experience in Oil & Gas projects and a proven track record of implementing effective HSE management systems across complex project environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain project HSE management systems in compliance with ADNOC standards, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Lead the HSE team and provide guidance, coaching, and supervision to HSE personnel across project sites.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC HSE policies, procedures, and permit-to-work systems.
• Conduct regular HSE inspections, audits, risk assessments, and site monitoring activities.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
• Review and approve HSE plans, procedures, method statements, risk assessments, and emergency response plans.
• Monitor project HSE performance and prepare reports, statistics, and management presentations.
• Coordinate with project management, clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities on all HSE-related matters.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and lead safety awareness campaigns, toolbox talks, and training programs.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management system requirements.
• Support project teams in identifying hazards and implementing risk mitigation measures.
• Lead internal and external HSE audits and facilitate management reviews.
• Ensure environmental protection measures are effectively implemented and maintained throughout project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a relevant Engineering discipline.
• NEBOSH International Diploma or NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) is mandatory.
• Lead Auditor certification in ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 is highly preferred.
• Additional HSE certifications and professional memberships will be considered an advantage.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of progressive HSE experience within the Oil & Gas, EPC, or Energy sector.
• Minimum 5 years in a managerial or supervisory HSE leadership role.
• Mandatory ADNOC project experience in the UAE.
• Must be ADNOC approved as an HSE Manager or equivalent HSE leadership position.
• Proven experience managing HSE requirements on large-scale Oil & Gas construction, commissioning, or maintenance projects.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC HSE standards, UAE regulations, and international best practices.

• ADNOC-approved professional with a strong track record on ADNOC projects.
• Demonstrated ability to drive HSE excellence and foster a positive safety culture.
• Experience working with major EPC contractors on Oil & Gas projects within the UAE.
• Strong commitment to operational safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement.
