Job Title: QC Engineer – Procurement
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced QC Engineer – Procurement to join a leading organization in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all procured materials, equipment, and vendor-supplied items comply with project specifications, ADNOC requirements, applicable international standards, and quality management procedures.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in procurement quality control activities within Oil & Gas, EPC, Petrochemical, or Industrial projects, with a strong background in vendor quality surveillance, inspection coordination, material compliance, and supplier quality management.
Mandatory Requirement: Candidates must possess a valid ADNOC Approval/Certificate as QC Engineer – Procurement and have proven ADNOC project experience. Applications without ADNOC approval will not be considered for client submission.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor procurement quality control activities throughout the procurement lifecycle.
- Review purchase orders, material requisitions, technical specifications, inspection requirements, and quality documentation.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, vendors, inspectors, and project teams to ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
- Review and approve Vendor Quality Plans (VQP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Manufacturing Quality Plans (MQPs), and related quality documents.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct vendor quality assessments and audits.
- Coordinate source inspections, factory acceptance tests (FAT), witness testing, and third-party inspection activities.
- Ensure procured materials and equipment comply with ADNOC standards, project specifications, and international codes.
- Review material certificates, test reports, inspection records, and manufacturing documentation.
- Identify and manage non-conformances, deviations, corrective actions, and quality concerns related to procurement activities.
- Participate in supplier qualification and vendor evaluation processes.
- Support expediting and procurement teams in resolving quality-related issues with vendors and manufacturers.
- Maintain procurement quality records and ensure proper documentation for project handover requirements.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company Quality Management Systems (QMS), HSE requirements, and project procedures.
Skills
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, or related discipline) from a recognized university.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality Control, Procurement Quality, Vendor Inspection, or Supplier Quality Management within Oil & Gas, EPC, Petrochemical, or Industrial projects.
- Proven ADNOC project experience is mandatory.
- Strong experience in procurement quality processes, vendor inspections, manufacturing surveillance, and supplier quality assurance.
- Familiarity with procurement documentation, material specifications, inspection requirements, and quality control procedures.
- Sound knowledge of international standards and codes such as ISO 9001, ASME, API, ASTM, IEC, and related industry standards.
- Experience working with third-party inspection agencies and international vendors.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing, fabrication, testing, and inspection processes.
Mandatory Requirements
- Valid ADNOC Approval/Certificate as QC Engineer – Procurement (Mandatory).
- ADNOC project experience (Mandatory).
- Candidates without ADNOC approval and relevant ADNOC experience will not be shortlisted for client submission.
- Available to work in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
