Road Assets Engineer

JOB ROLE:

• Fully knowledgeable in asset management processes including data
collection, inventory, analysis, and condition evaluation of road
infrastructure assets; preparing reports and maintenance
decisions/plans based on priorities and required budgets.
• Participate in field visits and inspection of road infrastructure assets to
audit selected sections, monitor asset operational performance, and
conduct studies to determine asset maintenance plans (5-year/annual
plans), priorities, and budgets required for short, medium, and
long-term needs to meet asset performance requirements.
• Monitor implementation of maintenance plans for ongoing projects
and ensure all requirements are met.
• Participate in the annual value of assets or as requested.
• Review and provide comments on tender documents for road
infrastructure asset projects, technical reports from
developers/contractors/consultants, and conduct field audit visits.
• Manage road asset inventory and assessment projects, analyze survey
results, and propose appropriate solutions to improve service levels
and extend asset life.
• Prepare presentations and reports on asset data as required.
• Review technical manuals and procedures in coordination with
relevant authorities.
• Any other tasks assigned by management related to asset
management

QUALIFICATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or any related field.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

5 – 10 years, meeting the following requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data collection, evaluating, and
managing road network and roadside furniture assets, including
determining maintenance decisions and plans.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the United Arab Emirates.

KEY SKILLS:

• Familiarity with road asset management systems and maintenance
management software.
• Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and asset data
management.
• Ability to prepare preventive and corrective maintenance plans for
roads.
• Knowledge of road condition assessment indices (PCI / IRI) and data
analysis.
• Communication skills and experience in managing road condition
survey and maintenance contracts/projects.
