Senior Editor (Arabic)

Job Summary
The Senior Editor (Arabic) coordinates and monitors the development, review, and refinement of high-quality Arabic content across the COMPANY communication channels. The role ensures linguistic accuracy, consistency in messaging, and alignment with COMPANY’s brand voice and sector narratives, while supporting content development for media, digital platforms, and strategic campaigns

Operational
• Draft, edit and proofread Arabic content across communication materials, including press releases, speeches, reports, digital content, and publications, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
• Translate and adapt communications materials from English to Arabic, ensuring linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and alignment with government communication standards
• Ensure all Arabic content aligns with COMPANY’s visual and narrative identity, approved sector messaging, and strategic communication priorities, maintaining consistency across all platforms and channels.
• Review and refine translated content to ensure it reflects the intended meaning, tone, and cultural context in Arabic.
• Support the development of content for external communication platforms, including social media, websites, and publications, ensuring consistency in messaging and alignment with COMPANY’s brand tone and audience engagement objectives.
• Coordinate content inputs for media engagements and campaigns, ensuring clear, consistent, and strategically aligned messaging that enhances visibility of sector initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to editorial standards, language guidelines, and communication protocols across all Arabic content.
• Monitor the quality and effectiveness of Arabic content, supporting the use of audience insights and feedback to continuously enhance messaging clarity and engagement.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality, brand-aligned Arabic content.
• Support the maintenance of editorial guidelines and content frameworks, ensuring alignment with COMPANY’s branding narrative and sector-wide communication standards.
• Carry out any additional responsibilities or tasks assigned by the line manager, in line with the role’s scope and organisational needs.

• 3-5 years of experience in Arabic editing, content development, or media communications, preferably within government or strategic communications environments.
• Proven expertise in Arabic language, grammar, and editorial standards, experience in reviewing translated and original content for public-facing communication.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic.

• Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language, Journalism, Media, Communications, or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Relevant certification in editing, publishing, or content development is preferred.
