Senior Planning Engineer

Main Responsibilities:

Develop comprehensive baseline programs in line with contract requirements using Primavera P6.

Prepare detailed work breakdown structures (WBS) and activity coding systems.

Monitor project progress and prepare periodic progress reports and forecasts.

Identify delays, risks, and potential impacts; propose recovery plans and corrective actions.

Coordinate with site teams to gather progress data and validate productivity rates.

Prepare look-ahead schedules, manpower histograms, and progress S-curves.

Support tender and estimation teams with planning input for new projects.

Participate in progress and coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

Review subcontractor programs to ensure alignment with the main schedule.

Monitor cost and resource allocation, ensuring effective utilization of manpower and equipment.

Ensure schedule compliance with project milestones and deliverables.

Maintain project documentation and planning records as per company procedures.

Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

Minimum 12–15 years of relevant experience in building construction projects (UAE experience preferred).

Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office Suite.

Familiar with FIDIC contracts and project control standards.

Certification in Planning and Scheduling (PSP or PMP) preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent understanding of construction sequencing and methodologies.

Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Strong coordination and communication skills with multi-disciplinary teams.

Excellent report writing and presentation abilities.

High attention to detail and accuracy in project data management.
