Job Description
1. Statistical Income Register Development
•Design and implement the statistical income register framework aligned with international best practices
•Establish data quality assurance protocols and validation procedures
2. Administrative Data Integration
•Identify and evaluate relevant administrative data sources across government entities.
•Design and execute data linkage strategies to integrate multiple administrative datasets
•Create standardized data processing procedures and documentation
3. Income Statistics Production
•Produce regular income distribution statistics and analytical reports
•Calculate poverty and inequality indicators (including integration with existing FGT2 methodologies)
•Generate household income profiles by demographic and geographic segments
4. Quality Assessment Reports
•Conduct regular quality assessments of administrative data sources
•Prepare coverage and accuracy evaluation reports
•Document data gaps and recommend improvement strategies
Skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Econometrics, or related quantitative field (master’s degree preferred)
•Strong foundation in statistical theory and methods, particularly in household income and expenditure analysis
•Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, Python, SAS, or similar)
•Experience with survey methodology and sampling techniques
•Knowledge of international statistical standards and classifications (particularly for household income statistics)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
•Expertise in household income statistics, including income distribution analysis, inequality measures, and poverty estimation
•Proven experience in administrative-based official statistics, including:
oWorking with administrative data sources from government entities
oData linkage and integration methodologies
oQuality assessment of administrative data for statistical purposes
•Experience in statistical register development and maintenance
•Familiarity with data governance and confidentiality protocols
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English
•Ability to collaborate with multiple government entities and stakeholders
MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
5-7 years in official statistics, household surveys, or related statistical work, with demonstrated expertise in income statistics and administrative data applications
