Multi‑Brand Audio Visual System & Automation Programmer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Brand Audio Visual System & Automation Programmer to join a leading IT and smart systems solutions company in Abu Dhabi.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, configuring, integrating, testing, and commissioning advanced AV and automation systems across luxury residential, hospitality, commercial, and corporate environments.

This role requires deep expertise in multiple automation and AV control platforms, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to independently manage system commissioning while ensuring exceptional user experiences and system performance.

The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, design engineers, installation teams, and clients to deliver world-class smart automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

AV & Automation Programming

• Program, configure, and commission advanced automation and control systems for high-end AV and smart building projects.
• Develop customized control interfaces and automation logic for seamless operation of integrated systems.
• Configure and integrate:
• Audio Visual systems
• Lighting control systems
• HVAC controls
• Shading and curtain systems
• Video conferencing systems
• GRMS (Guest Room Management Systems)
• Room scheduling and control systems

Multi-Platform System Integration

Work extensively with major automation and AV ecosystems including:

• Crestron (SIMPL, SIMPL+, Crestron Home, VC-4)
• AMX
• Extron
• RTI
• KNX
• Lutron
• QSC Q-SYS
• Bose ControlSpace
• Biamp Tesira
• Cisco integrations
• Poly integrations
• Other industry-leading AV and automation platforms

Testing & Commissioning

• Conduct complete system testing, commissioning, and performance optimization.
• Ensure all integrated systems function according to project specifications and client requirements.
• Perform site inspections and diagnose system issues during commissioning phases.
• Independently lead system handover and client demonstrations.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Troubleshoot programming, networking, and hardware integration issues.
• Optimize AV and automation system performance for stability and user experience.
• Provide technical support during project execution and post-installation phases.
• Prepare technical documentation, backup files, and commissioning reports.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate with:
• Design engineers
• Installation teams
• Project managers
• Consultants
• Clients and end users
• Review technical drawings, AV schematics, and network layouts.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and according to technical standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in:
• Electronics Engineering
• Computer Engineering
• Information Technology
• Audio Visual Technology
• Automation Engineering
• or related field

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in AV system programming and smart automation integration.
• Proven experience delivering high-end AV and automation projects in:
• Luxury residential
• Hospitality
• Corporate/commercial environments
• Strong hands-on experience with multi-brand AV and automation platforms.

Technical Skills

• Strong AV signal flow knowledge
• Audio DSP configuration experience
• Excellent IP networking and TCP/IP knowledge
• System integration and automation troubleshooting
• Reading and understanding AV schematics and technical drawings
• Experience with:
